Imagine this: you’re not just a brand; you’re the brand your audience ✨can’t get enough of✨.

As you sit down at your desk to start your work for the day, you can’t help but think, “How lucky am I that my clients pay me to do what I love?!” 🥰

Your business has changed SO much since you invested in your brand 6 months ago.

Your inbox is full of aligned, high-value clients instead of random leads from social that don’t have the budget for your services.

You log into your banking app and notice the invoice was paid from that discovery call yesterday (*cue Ina Garten’s voice*: how easy was that?).

You no longer feel imposter syndrome when you show up on socials OR a client call.

If you haven’t been lucky enough to experience what a professional brand can do for your business, it’s time.

When your brand is elevated, timeless, and clear, your clients don’t have to guess if you’re the right person for their job.

I’m going to give it to you straight.

There’s no secret to investing. You simply have to start.

I know, I know. You might *feel* behind now, but you can’t let that stop you from rewriting the story of your future.

If you’re looking for guidance on how to confidently start investing, comment “GUIDE” and I’ll send my free money guide full of tips and resources directly to you.

EMAIL MARKETING

  • If you’ve ever been caught in the self-care + productivity algorithm, you know there’s a million and one ways to start your morning.

And true, after you’ve seen 3 videos in a row of different creators graciously extending their arm to touch-tap-off their Hatch sunrise alarm clock, you notice the pattern.

“One of those sunrise alarm clocks must be the solution I desperately need to wake up feeling refreshed” is probably what you’re thinking.

    Except you know better.

Because you’ve already tried the morning gratitude journaling, the semi-warm lemon water upon waking, the satin pajamas, the fasted workout, the heatless curls, and your mornings still aren’t what you want them to be.

Here’s a different way to look at all your morning routine experiments.

With each thing you tried, you either learned that you like it enough to keep doing it, or that it didn’t change a thing for you and it’s definitely not worth the hype.

You’re learning to find your (morning routine) flow.

Finding your flow with content creation is prettttty much the same thing.

If you want to keep watching 12 different creators explain their content creation process, no one’s stopping you.

The real gem of knowledge comes from trying things out yourself and seeing what sticks.

Here are some of the things that help me as a fellow content creator AND as a social media marketer for small business owners.

Create a system to store your content ideas.

Take advantage of those lightbulb moments when you get the BEST ideas for content.

If you don’t have a system in place to access them, they sadly get lost in the void of your notes app.

(R.I.P. to that best idea everrrrrrrr which you can’t remember now, but you KNOW it was going to completely transform your business).

The best content creation system is going to be the one you stick with.

This could be a page in your notes app. A column of tiles in your Trello or Asana board. Or in your Notion dashboard (as long as you actually use it!).

Compile your favorite styles of content to use as inspiration

Have you noticed a newer style carousel post on Instagram that looks less curated than Canva, but more organic than a photo dump?

Those are made in the Instagram app. You can now layer photos and text in-app without using Canva.

When you make a list of content styles you like (or an album of screenshots), you make your content creation process more streamlined.

No more getting stuck in the feed scrolling for inspiration. You’ve got everything you need at your fingertips.

    Make your writing more magnetic

The secret to more appealing captions is the use of “you” instead of “I.”

Use this shift to build the like, know, and trust factor with your audience.

It works because it appeals to the subconscious brain. When you see “you” in written form, you think the message is directly for you.

When you write captions from the perspective of “I,” it is helpful, but it’s harder to relate to.

Finding your flow with content creation isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.

I see it every day with my clients.

Feel free to sort through your options and find what works best for you.

And if you’d rather go to the DMV instead of create content for your business, that’s what I’m here for you :) I help business owners like you by taking the stress of social media off your plate.

When you’re ready, book your discovery call here [insert hyperlink].

    TTFN, ta-ta for now!

    [REDACTED}

  • Can I be real with you, @ first name?

My fingers danced between typing letters on the keyboard and holding the backspace button. A modern tale of two steps forward, one step back (at least I make myself laugh).

I struuuuuuuuggled to get this newsletter out. It’s a combination of exhaustion and overwhelm that’s making my brain act as if she’s been chilling in the freezer for the past few weeks.

And I’m a big believer that my content holds the energy of whatever I’m going through. It didn’t feel right to force a newsletter out yesterday, just to check that box.

So you get a rare Saturday morning email from me :)

I want to talk about getting through overwhelm. This message might be relevant to you now, or you can always save it for the future when you need it.

In life and business, sometimes the big picture is overwhelming.

It’s easy to fall back on old habits, but I know you are resilient enough to move through the tough stuff.

In case you’re also moving through overwhelm, here’s what’s helping me.

    • Energy work. Reiki or EFT Tapping is what I find myself using lately.

    • Writing my “woe is me” thoughts on paper with a disclaimer at the top that states, “I DO NOT WANT ANY OF THIS TO HAPPEN. I AM JUST GETTING OUT MY FEELS AND FRUSTRATIONS.” The all caps disclaimer is necessary, duh.

    • Listening to upbeat and fun music. No mopey sad beats allowed.

    • Forcing myself to complete small tasks in total completion. No bouncing around to start a load of laundry instead of putting away my toiletries from my last trip.

    • Resisting the urge to open social media apps and my email for the dopamine rush.

And lastly, I went for a walk.

I didn’t want to walk. I wanted to continue rotting on my couch until my right thumb hurt from scrolling for so long.

There were at least 4 times during my walk where I thought to myself, “This is so hard. This sucks. I’m so slow. How can I magically snap my fingers and be teleported home?”.

But you know what? After moving through a hard thing, I felt the confidence to continue moving through other hard things.

Step by step, I started feeling like myself again. I remembered what I’m working towards.

If you’re walking a similar path in this season of life, I see you. I get you. And I know you're on your way to doing great things.

    Always cheering you on,

LINKEDIN GHOSTWRITING

  • It’s been said the average person makes around 35,000 decisions each day.

And while not all the decisions you make are life-changing (most are subconsciously on autopilot like changing into your comfy clothes after spending the day co-working at [REDACTED]), the decisions you make about your business do matter.

This is where learning how to make smarter decisions benefits you.

To make better decisions, you first have to learn what influences bad decisions. Most of these come from biases or mental errors.

Survivorship bias sheds light on the few successful people while quietly sweeping the non-successful people under the rug who followed the same framework. Think about professional athletes or successful founders who dropped out of school. Their end outcome is unique to the strategy that many employ.

Loss aversion is a bias showcasing how humans try really hard to minimize their losses. In this mental error, you might feel overly protective of your thoughts, ideas, and creations to the point where it clouds your judgement.

Confirmation bias might be the one you’re most familiar with. You stick to your decision and seek information that confirms it. If there’s contradictory info or leadership, it gets brushed aside because you assume what you know is true. Obviously.

The next time you find yourself noodling over a decision, take a moment to pull yourself out of it. Give yourself the gift of a new perspective.

Are you truly making the best decision for you or your business? Or are you slightly influenced by a decision-making bias? You’re smart. You’ll get to the best decision eventually.

    Enjoy the journey!

  • If you’ve heard about Inbox Zero before, you might be surprised to learn that zero emails in your inbox isn’t the true goal of this productivity method.

Inbox Zero, coined by Merlin Mann, is meant to help you build a more casual relationship with your email. In turn, that helps your productivity because you aren’t operating your day according to someone else’s priorities.

The core strategy of Inbox Zero involves 5 steps. You’ll declutter your mind by decluttering your emails. Doesn’t that sound nice?

Before applying the 5 rules of Inbox Zero, you need to pick a time to open your email inbox. Choose one or two times a day to do this. Each time you log into your email, you’ll be taking immediate action according to these 5 rules:

    • Delete: Get rid of any unnecessary or old emails, unsubscribe, and archive.

    • Delegate: If you aren’t the appropriate person to respond, delegate the email to the person who is.

    • Respond: If you can respond quickly, do it right away. This is for email responses that take 5 minutes or less.

    • Defer: If an email requires more time for you to respond, defer it so you can get back to it later.

    • Do: These are the emails that are priorities and require immediate action.

To streamline your process, take some time creating new sections or folders in your inbox, adding some new labels or tabs. Do whatever makes sense to you and makes your brain feel at peace.

Remember, the goal of Inbox Zero isn’t zero emails. The true goal is to get you back in control of your time and your focus.
